The pods.

Private glamping pods for dogs, planned for the grounds of Pet Getaway in Hindley, Wigan. This is the design we have in mind.

ConceptEverything on this page is a plan. The design, features and number of pods may change before anything is built.

The design

A curved timber shell, a glow of light.

Imagined as small, handsome timber buildings: closer to a boutique glamping cabin than a kennel run.

These are the details shown in our concept image. None of them is final.

  • A curved, timber-clad pod with a dark, weather-tight roof
  • Glazed double doors opening onto a private deck
  • Warm string lights, lanterns and an illuminated paw emblem
  • A plush, raised bed with a paw-print throw
  • Topiary planters and landscaped surroundings

Inside

Made to settle into.

Honey-coloured timber, a generous bed and a lantern for the evening. Calm and uncluttered: somewhere a dog can wind down after a day outdoors.

The grounds

Set within landscaped grounds.

We picture a small group of pods in landscaped gardens, with hedging and mature trees around them. How many, and exactly where, is still to be decided. More concept images will follow as the design develops.
